My New Year's Goals
I said I do it, so now it's time to show my cards... My 2020 New Year's Goals are:
Career
Finish my Book - I am working on writing my first book and I'd like to have the first draft completed by June, my revisions and edits done by September and the final draft with outside edits done by December.
Grow my Blog - I've been managing this blog for about 4 years now and it's a great outlet for me. In 2020 I'd like to grow my views by 50% over 2019.
Love Life + Romance
Make a Weekly Date Night - Life gets crazy and it's about to get even crazier with wedding planning, so I want to make our relationship a priority by making a weekly unplugged date night.
Plan a Minimum of 1 Staycation/Vacation - In the past we've been great about traveling together, but it'll be difficult this year with saving up vacation time and money for the wedding. So I want to plan at least 1 staycation or vacation for the 2 of us where we're unplugged for all of it except a maximum of 2 hours per day.
Self-Development
Read 5 Books - I know, this may seem like a tiny number to some, but for me that's huge! I do my best to read, but I do have a lot going on and don't always get it in. So, the goal is 5 books by the end of 2020.
Complete a Gallon a Day Challenge - This year I did the gallon a day challenge for 5 days, up-ing my previously completed 3 day challenge. In 2020, I will do a 7-day gallon a day challenge at least twice.
Fitness
Reach my Goal Size - For the sake of my privacy, I will not reveal my goal size for 2020. In 2019, I set a goal size and reached it halfway through the year, so in 2020 I want to drop one more size before the wedding in 2021.
Hit a 2 Minute Plank - I incorporate plank holds into my workouts at least once per week for 3 sets. By the end of 2020, I will be able to do 3 sets of 2 minute plank holds at least once per week. My current high is about a minute, 15 seconds and my average is 45 seconds, so this will be a stretch, but as long as I plan I should be able to get there.
Financial
Pay Off ALL Credit Cards - I am on track to have my cards paid off by the end of this month, January 2020, so to add to this goal I will keep my cards paid off so that by the end of 2020 they are all still paid off (with no more than a $500 combined balance). I do like to keep somewhat of a balance for credit utilization and in the chance that I return anything. I have a habit of returning about 10-20% of the things I buy...
Save Money - Similar to my goal size, I will not reveal my goal savings amount for my own privacy. But note I have a goal savings amount for 2020.
Similar to my monthly challenges, I will be posting updates throughout the year on my progress with these goals. If you have any questions on goals and goal setting just shoot me a message! I will get back to you as soon as I can.
